Stuck, found a bug, or have a question about your data? Write to us at support@gethome.me — a person reads every message. Below are the ways to reach us from the app, and answers to what people ask most: a hub the app can’t find, leaving a home, turning AI off and deleting your data.
From the app, Profile → Send feedback sends it straight to us, with the app’s version and, for a home on a hub, the hub’s attached. Turn on “Ask for a reply” and leave your email address if you’d like an answer.
Or email support@gethome.me from anywhere. It helps to include:
Found a security problem? Write to the same address with “Security” in the subject, and please give us a chance to fix it before telling anyone else. The hub’s code is public, so bugs in it can also be reported on GitHub.
Check that your iPhone is on the same Wi-Fi network as the hub, and that the app is allowed to use it: Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. A hub takes a minute or two to start after it’s switched on. If it still doesn’t appear, add it by its address instead — “Enter an IP address instead” is on the same screen.
Open the home, tap the gear on Home to open Home Settings, and choose Remove from gethome — or, for a home on a hub, Leave this home.
Everything about AI is in Home Settings → AI: stop this iPhone sending anything, remove a key, or switch device recognition off. The Privacy Policy lists what each AI feature sends and where.
Almost all of it lives on your own iPhone, Mac and hub, where you can delete it yourself — here’s how. For anything we hold, such as feedback you sent from the app, write to support@gethome.me.
No. There’s no gethome account, and your home runs on your iPhone and your own hub. AI features use an OpenAI or Anthropic key that you add yourself.
Yes. The hub’s README on GitHub has a one-line installer for a Raspberry Pi or any 64-bit Linux machine; gethome studio for Mac just makes it easier.
